We pride ourselves on the professional and reliable electrical services we offer to all of our customers. We are committed to maintaining high standards. Our friendly, experienced and skilled team will deliver a quality service tailored to the individual needs of the client.

All of our works and projects are carried out with fully compliant standards following the statutory building regulations for the UK. Just like our new installation work, as Approved Contractors, our electrical refurbishment works are certified by The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) with Health & Safety accredited by CHAS.

Electrical Installation Certification

Upon completing your electrical installation or maintenance work, the UK Safety Management team will provide you or your business with a certificate showing that your building or property is compliant with the appropriate safety standards set in place by the health and safety commission. This may be given in the form of an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or in the form of a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC).

Make sure to hold onto this certificate as it is direct proof that your business is certified in the correct health and safety standards, and will prevent any unwanted charges to your business to replace the certificate or complete the work again. Additionally, if someone becomes injured on your premises and claims that it was the fault of electrical installation, an up to date Electrical Installation Certificate or a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate can be used as evidence that the work was completed to a satisfactory standard of safety and compliance.

What is Electrical Maintenance?

Electrical maintenance is the means of repairing, troubleshooting and maintaining systems and equipment that supplies electricity to industrial and commercial buildings.

Having routine electrical maintenance ensures:

  • Installed electrical equipment is tested for reliability and is fully functional.
  • Protection against fire and other dangers.
  • Compliance with regulations and protective measures.

How Often Do I Need to Get Electrical Maintenance?

As a business owner, it is your responsibility to protect the health and safety of your employees, contractual workers and anyone else who may find themself on your premises or property. It is therefore important that you organise certified electrical installations and electrical maintenance works are in place to keep everyone safe and everything in good working order.

At UK Safety Management, we have specialist electrical engineers who have years of experience carrying out effective electrical installations for commercial and industrial businesses.

Our Accreditations

An EICR assesses the safety of electrical installations in commercial, industrial and domestic properties. It looks at damage, defects and the possible deterioration of electrics, to see if this will impact occupier’s safety.

Electrical installations by law need to be tested by qualified electricians. They will carry out the correct tests procedures, to check all of your equipment and electrical installations are working correctly.

The sequence of tests they will carry out will include things like the continuity of protective conductors, insulation resistance testing and Earth fault loop impedance testing, to name a few procedures.

Electrical installations for buildings fall into two categories: commercial and residential. Each building type requires different installations because of their size and the different ways they will be used.

For example, the electrical installations of commercial buildings like businesses, factories and warehouses, need to ensure that the circuit breaker doesn’t overload.

Electrical maintenance work ensures that the electrics in a building is safe. This involves routine servicing, tests and fault diagnosis, to make sure that electrical circuits and equipment are in good working order for employees and inhabitants.

Competent electrical installation and maintenance are not only essential by law, but also for the safety of a building’s inhabitants. Faults can cause fires and electrocution, which are often caused by negligence and not keeping up with electrical maintenance.
